CII/CPAR Training: Primary Care

There are two CII/CPAR (Community Information Integration & Central Patient Attachment Registry) curricula focused on primary care teams. They are:

  • CII/CPAR Onboarding for Primary Care; and
  • CII/CPAR: Go-Live and Beyond

Primary care clinic team members that may benefit from these curricula include:

  • PCN practice facilitators
  • Medical office assistants
  • Clinic managers
  • Physicians
  • Nurse practitioners

CII/CPAR Onboarding for Primary Care

A curriculum designed to help primary care clinics understand and complete the necessary paperwork to participate in CII/CPAR. This curriculum takes approximately one hour to complete and includes the following four courses:

  1. Privacy Considerations for Participating in CII/CPAR
  2. Completing the Access Administrator Registration Form
  3. Completing the Panel Request Form
  4. Completing the Panel Administrator User Registration
Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the curriculum, learners will be able to:

  • Recall where to find resources to help your clinic implement a strong privacy program; and
  • Complete the CII endorsement letter, Access Administrator Request Form, Panel Request Form, and Panel Administration Form. 

CII/CPAR: Go Live and Beyond

A curriculum designed for primary care clinics that are starting to go-live on CII/CPAR. This curriculum takes approximately one hour to complete if you are reviewing information for one EMR, and includes the following 11 courses: 

  1. Introduction to CII/CPAR: Go Live and Beyond
  2. Going Live on CII/CPAR
  3. CPAR Online Portal
  4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  5. Demographic Mismatch Reports
  6. Panel Conflict Reports
  7. Encounters
  8. eNotifications
  9. Consult Reports
  10. Provider Absences and Departures
  11. Locums

Learning objectives

Upon completion of the curriculum, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the steps to prepare for launching CII/CPAR at your clinic;
  • Understand the new data that your clinic sends and receives from CII/CPAR; and
  • Implement new clinic processes to fully utilize CII/CPAR.
