Enhanced Access

Overview

Providing timely access to one’s primary care physician is a key implementation element of the Patient's Medical Home (PMH).  This can be achieved by balancing supply and demand.

Improving timely access to care can:

• Reduce primary care wait times.
• Lead to improved relational continuity.
• Reduce the use of urgent care and emergency rooms.
